About the Position

At Södra Wood Orrefors, we transform our members' forest raw materials into sustainable wood products that are used and appreciated around the world. Wood is a material with almost endless possibilities – and we are constantly working with innovation, smart building systems, and digital solutions to make the entire customer journey as simple and efficient as possible.

We are now looking for a boiler and dryer operator who wants to help contribute to a safe, modern, and future-oriented workplace. Could it be you?

This is what you will work on at Södra

As a boiler and dryer operator, you will be an important part of our maintenance and boiler department, a team of six people who together are responsible for ensuring that the facility operates optimally every day. The role combines technical monitoring with practical work and gives you great opportunities to influence and plan your own workday.

Examples of tasks:

  • Monitoring and operation of the boiler

  • Planning and follow-up of drying processes

  • Rounds, operational management, and reporting of deviations in the maintenance system

  • Driving a loader, for example, during the emptying of fuel and chip pockets

We offer a varied and developing job where technology, responsibility, and collaboration go hand in hand. Working hours are mainly during the day, and you will also be part of our on-call group according to a schedule.

Who are we looking for?

We believe in the strength of diversity and know that different experiences and perspectives make us better. The most important thing for us is your attitude, your commitment, and your willingness to develop together with us.

You enjoy working both independently and in a team, are meticulous, and have a safety mindset in what you do. You have a structured way of working and like to solve problems in a calm and methodical manner.

We would like you to have:

  • High school education

  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing (for safety reasons)

  • Driver's license B

  • Basic computer skills

  • Technical understanding or a technical interest

  • Experience from industry or similar operations

It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a boiler operator, with wood drying, or have a loader license – but this is not a requirement. We value your willingness to learn and grow in the role above all.

This is what it’s like to work at Södra

We place great value on your personal commitment and care about your well-being. Be part of building a sustainable society

Södra is one of the country's largest forestry companies and is jointly owned by more than 50,000 family forest owners in southern Sweden. In addition to developing forestry, we strive to always use the forest raw material in the most efficient and climate-smart way. Pulp, timber, textile pulp, and bioproducts are just a few examples. By working together, we have the strength, commitment, and courage needed to build a sustainable society. This is done with our feet on the ground, our ears to the world, and our eyes looking forward.
